Today we celebrated Josiah's 6th birthday with his friends. Ben, Josiah, and five of his kindergarten buddies went ice skating this afternoon. Several of them had never been skating before and they did amazingly well. We were thankful to Charissa for joining us and helping keep everyone upright, and to my mom for staying home with our napping girl. The boys loved pushing around the "chairs" which allowed them to stay upright and get going very fast.
After ice skating we headed home for cake and ice cream. Since we were hanging out in the cold of the ice arena, Josiah decided he wanted an Antarctica themed cake with lots of penguins- six to be exact. We made the treat bags penguin themed too. After dessert and gifts the kids enjoyed hanging out and taking turns playing some Wii. Josiah's friends are such a nice group of boys and all treat each other so nicely. It was a joy to spend the day with them!
