Branson 2008

We've been on vacation in Branson, MO for the past week and enjoying the time with all of the Millen aunts, uncles and cousins (except for one cousin who couldn't make it this time) at the resort and around Branson. This photo is of our immediate family on the Steamboat Branson Belle, a dinner theater cruise on Table Rock Lake. It's been a great few days, and if you click the photo you can view a mini album, including a few choice pics of our time on the Belle; Ben driving a Ride the Ducks WWII DUKW* (during the aquatic portion of our amphibious tour of Branson and the surrounding area); and a picture of the Millen cousins' kids (note our niece Lexi sitting on high, invisibly supported by her daddy!).

From Branson 2008

* The DUKW (popularly pronounced "duck") is a six-wheel-drive amphibious truck that was designed by General Motors Corporation during World War II for transporting goods and troops over land and water and for use approaching and crossing beaches in amphibious attacks... The designation of DUKW is not a military pun - the name comes from the terminology used for military vehicles in World War II; the D indicates a vehicle designed in 1942, the U meant "utility (amphibious)", the K indicated all-wheel drive and the W indicated two powered rear axles. -- Wikipedia
