Stories abound about kids (and adults) misunderstanding the words or lyrics in songs. On Thursday, Grandma Teske had a doozy of a time figuring out that Josiah was hearing "the cattle are lowing" as "the kettles are flowing."
For those who happen to visit our home, this should explain the origami pot and spoon that were added to his Playmobil creche :)

Awesome... can't someone get those kettles under control? You know - for the holidays.
So, Sarah and I were looking at these nativities online this evening and noticed that there are TWO versions from Playmobil. The other version has no magi - See this link for an image. Oddly, it does have a kettle. I wonder if he had previously seen such an image? Regardless, it's kind of a funny coincidence either way!
